Shonda, the executive producer of several top-rated television shows has always had an affinity toward storytelling. Her experiences as a volunteer in hospitals during her teenage years influenced her interest in health-care settings, a la award winning Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. Shonda mentions Toni Morrison writings as an early influence (a distant Pom-Pom, if you will) for her love of writing. It was at Dartmouth College were she gained an appreciation for theater. Most importantly, it was college were she discovered herself and who she wanted to become. Her Armor, surely being steadfast in her convictions.
