Esperanza Spalding

I've been on my jazz vibe lately, cleaning the house to Eric Dolphy and lounging with Esperanza Spalding.  She isn't a new-comer, but her celebrity has risen since winning the New Artist Award at the 2011 Grammys.  Esperanza has been comfortable in her skin for some time now. Knowing what she wanted to do from an early age, she set out on her journey steadfast on becoming a musician. There is no mistaking who one of her Pom-Poms are, as quoted here, 'she learned early lessons in the meaning of perseverance and moral character from the role model whom she holds in the highest regard to this day – her mother'.  Her Armor.......hmmm... we will have to ask.
